At the centre of the offering from Vantage FX (UK) is the MetaTrader 4 platform from MetaQuotes. The MetaTrader 4 platform from Vantage FX works just as one would expect, though the platform has been modified to allow for the trading of Binary options. Vantage FX also offers a Mac compatible version of MetaTrader 4 for those using Apple operating software. There is also a proprietary WebTrader platform which allows clients to trade the full range of instruments on offer at Vantage FX from any broadband enabled computer. With mobile trading growing in popularity in recent years, Vantage FX offers mobile trading solutions for both Android and Apple devices. Vantage FX’s mobile platform offering is pretty impressive and is one of the better mobile solutions available at the moment.
- Leverage: Up to 500:1.
- Scalping: Allowed.
- Expert Advisors: Allowed
- Hedging: Allowed.
- Trailing Stops: Yes.
- Spreads: STP, spreads from 0.5 pips.
- Minimum Distance to stop/limit orders: 3 pips.
Vantage FX boasts spreads as low as 0.5 pips on the major currency pairings. While spreads do on occasion get as tight as advertised, spreads with Vantage FX have the tendency to become quite wide under certain market conditions. Spreads tend to be the tightest during the European trading session and widen quite significantly during the US and Asian sessions. The brokerage allows anyone to check their live spreads in comparison with a number of other big name brokerages, which allows prospective traders to compare the brokerages live performance. The brokerage allows clients to take advantage of significant leverage, with available leverage starting at 100:1 and rising to 500:1 for approved accounts. The trading conditions on offer at Vantage FX UK allow for the trader to engage in a variety of different trading strategies.
- Number of Currency Pairings: 36
- Other Instruments: Binary Options, Commodities and Indices.
The brokerage offers a decent range of currency pairings and the majority of traders should be able to trade every pairing they desire. The brokerage comes up a little short when it comes to minor and exotic pairings. In addition to Forex, Vantage FX offers both Commodity and Index trading. The range of commodities and indices on offer is rather limited. But allowing traders the opportunity to trade Indices and Commodities does add an extra selling point. Rather interestingly Vantage FX offers binary options to its clients through both their MetaTrader 4 and WebTrader platform. This will attract a number of individuals who want to trade binary options with a UK regulated entity. I would still advice against binary options as a product, as the odds tend to be strongly in the brokerages favour.
- Contact Methods: Email and Phone.
- Telephone Numbers: UK Telephone number.

Vantage FX offers email and telephone customer support. The brokerage tries its best to resolve client problems to the best of their abilities, with support being available in a number of different languages. Overall customer support with the brokerage seems to be pretty good. An even more detailed Vantage FX review detailing this aspect can be found here.
- Regulation: By the FCA of the UK
- MiFID Regulated: Yes
- US Traders: Vantage FX cannot accept US citizens, due to the lack of CTFC and NFA regulation.
- Regulatory Record: Vantage FX (UK) has a clean regulatory record.
Vantage FX is regulated by the British FCA, with Britain considered one of Europe’s stronger regulatory regimes. The fact that Britain is a member of the European Union and thus falls under the EU’s MiFID legislation means the brokerage is able to accept clients from the entire European Economic Area. Vantage FX also has an ASIC regulated arm which is able to take on Australian clients, Australians should seek out information about the ASIC regulated entity. Traders will be reassured to know that Vantage FX has never been on the receiving end of any regulatory action which should be considered strongly in the brokerages favour.
Vantage FX provides clients with low spreads and good trading conditions. The firm also allows traders to use Expert Advisors with the brokerages MetaTrader 4 platform. Regulated in the UK Vantage FX (UK) may be a good option for those looking for an STP brokerage who offer clients competitive spreads and a high quality of service.
